One-Punch Man fans have been waiting since 2019 for the third season of the hit anime series, and at long last, the first trailer for the upcoming return of the overpowered hero has arrived. Scheduled to arrive later in 2024, One-Punch Man Season 3 focuses on the beginning of the Monster Association arc, the single longest storyline in the manga series that was published over several years.

Season 2 saw the debut of the Hero Hunter Garou, a fan-favorite character who plays a big part in the Monster Association storyline alongside dozens of other high-ranking heroes, memorable monsters, and the One-Punch Man himself, Saitama. If you're familiar with the manga, you'll know just how massive this showdown is between the heroes and monsters, with the grand finale of this conflict creating planetary levels of destruction.

The other big news with this trailer is the confirmation that JC Staff is producing Season 3. This animation studio also handled Season 2 of One-Punch Man, but it was heavily criticized for a noticeable dip in quality compared to the first season animated by Madhouse in 2015. Illustrator Yusuke Murata isn't involved with the production of the third season either--he previously worked on the first two seasons and alongside series creator One on the manga--but the first trailer does look promising as it highlights Garou's fight against dangerous adversaries.

If you're looking to catch up on the show, both seasons of One-Punch Man are available to stream on Hulu and Crunchyroll.
