Final Fantasy IX Secures Top Sales Spot

PC Data has released the console sales charts for week of November 12 through 18. Unsurprisingly, SquareSoft's Final Fantasy IX took the top spot in overall console game sales. THQ's WWF No Mercy came in second, and Nintendo's Pokémon Silver and Pokémon Gold continued their strong sales holding on to the third and fourth spots respectively. Sega's Shenmue, after a strong first week of sales that saw it take the number one spot, fell all the way to the eight spot in total sales. Electronic Arts' Madden NFL 2001 was the top selling PlayStation 2 game, but no PS2 games made the overall PC Data sales chart. Take a look at the complete charts below:
