With Final Fantasy VII Remake's April 10 launch approaching (at least for digital copies), Square Enix has dropped a bunch of new character renders and screenshots to drum up more hype for the PlayStation 4 exclusive.

The new screenshots center around the controversial cross-dressing scene in which Cloud goes around Midgar's Wall Market to collect female clothing in order to suss out the crime lord Don Cormeo. In the screens below we see Cloud in a dress, a glowing Midgar, Barret in combat, and more. We also get a glimpse at some new characters not seen in the original game, including Chocobo Sam, Leslie Kyle, and Madam M.

Now Playing: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Vs. Original (Bombing Mission)

Also in the screens, we see some familiar faces: the Turks leader Tseng, the Honey Bee Inn, the giant water serpent Leviathan, and more. You can check them all out below.

Final Fantasy VII Remake's free demo is still available on the PlayStation Store. Downloading and playing it nets you a free PS4 theme, and there are plenty more on the way before the game launches in early April.

Square Enix has said that Final Fantasy VII Remake will be an expanded reimagining of the classic JRPG, spanning at least two Blu-ray discs. While the exact size of FFVII Remake is still a mystery, we've learned that the game's side quests will be as large as the main story and that the campaign has been extended as well.
