Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - Midgar 7th Infantry And Junon Parade Guide

Look for your missing subordinates and try to achieve a high score in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Comments

There are a lot of challenges in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Some even require you to successfully pass quick-time events (QTEs). But, before you could get to that part, you need to find your troops first. Here's our guide on the Junon Parade and the Midgar 7th Infantry in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Midgar 7th Infantry and Junon Parade guide

The objective to locate the Midgar 7th Infantry happens during Chapter 4: Dawn of a New Era. Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith have managed to sneak into Larboard Junon by donning the uniforms of other Shinra troops. However, they find themselves in a predicament, as Cloud has to search for other troopers so he could lead their formation in a parade.

Midgar 7th Infantry locations

Below, you can see a map of the Midgar 7th Infantry locations in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Cloud simply needs to speak to these individuals, whereupon they will fall in formation.

Note that you only need to find five squads to begin the Junon Parade minigame. Still, there are a total of 10 troopers, and we suggest locating all of them so you can unlock more options later.

  • Along the walkway on the left-hand side (fairly close to where you'll see Barret disguised in a navy uniform).
  • Along the right-hand side of the main street. These soldiers are taking pictures in front of a Rufus Shinra standee.
  • Inside the Full Arsenal weapons shop.
  • Inside the Cecilia's of Junon item shop.
  • Follow Rude inside the Glabrescent Bar. Before a scuffle ensues, the bald troops join the formation, too.
  • Head to the third floor of the Shopping Center (i.e. the Maghnata Folio shop).
  • The second-floor office of the Barracks.
  • The third-floor office of the Barracks.
  • Check the storeroom/basement of the Larboard Garrison building.
  • Inside the Le Sourire bar.

Which Junon Parade formations to choose

If you find all Midgar 7th Infantry troops, you can have more formations to choose from in the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Junon Parade minigame. Now, before talking to the Commander, make sure you keep a manual save first.

Then, when asked to pick your squads, we recommend selecting 2x Grenadiers, 2x Riot Troopers, and 1x Flametroopers. This gives you the following formations:

  • Ramuh Formation
  • Shiva Formation
  • Bahamut Formation
Tougher formations mean more QTE button presses. But if you're successful, you can also get a higher score.

Junon Parade minigame tips and rewards

The Junon Parade minigame involves multiple QTEs where you need to press the correct buttons (i.e. Square, Triangle, X, and Circle) based on the colors:

  • Red - A single press will do just as the symbol glows.
  • Yellow - Rapidly tap the button.
  • Blue - Hold the button as the symbol glows, then release it just as the line moves toward the next symbol.

The camera pans around a lot, so you might make a few mistakes. Likewise, the Ramuh, Shiva, and Bahamut formations have a 3-star difficulty. But these challenges are certainly worth undertaking--the more successful button presses you do, the higher the score you'll get.

If you feel that you've made too many mistakes, you can always restart. This will bring you back to a point just before you spoke to the Commander. Just skip the cutscenes and be ready for the QTE sequences once more.

It's okay to restart the whole thing if you make mistakes.

Here's what you'll obtain if you reach a score of 100,000 points or higher:

  • The Outstanding Performance Award, which nets you the "Stealing the Show" trophy.
  • You'll receive double the bonus relationship/affinity with Tifa and Aerith. The double bonus is missable, which is why it's important to reach a high score. You can learn more about this mechanic in our romance and relationships guide.

That does it for our Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Midgar 7th Infantry and Junon Parade guide. We hope you pass this challenge with flying colors.

A grand adventure awaits you in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. We've got all the tips and strategies for you in our FF7 Rebirth guides hub.
