A Far Cry 6 gameplay video has leaked ahead of Ubisoft's planned May 28 livestream, where the company will officially unveil the open-world shooter in action. [Update: Far Cry 6's gameplay debut will apparently happen at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. A countdown has begun on the livestream, and you can watch that (and the eventual gameplay reveal) in the video embed below.]

Polish YouTuber Rojson posted eight minutes of gameplay sequences, from shooting segments to cutscenes to the assortment of available weapons. There's even a gun that shoots CDs. The video is now unavailable, but as with leaks of highly anticipated videos, it's already been rehosted elsewhere.

The rest of the footage looks like standard Far Cry fare. The protagonist assassinates people from stealth, sics animals on enemies, and wreaks general havoc at camps and outposts. At one point, we see the name Dani Rojas on an ID card, as well as a look at both male and female character models.

There are two distinct features to call out based on what's in this video. One is what appears to be a crocodile players can tame, feed, and pet. The other is a jetpack granting players an area-of-effect attack that burns all enemies in the immediate vicinity, as well as a mortar-like assault that rains down explosives. It's unclear if the jetpack can be used for any sort of in-game travel.

This leaked gameplay comes less than a day before Ubisoft is scheduled to hold a Far Cry 6 gameplay reveal. The presentation goes live on Ubisoft's official YouTube channel on May 28 at 9:30 AM PT / 12:30 PM ET. We also have the livestream embedded above so you can watch it right here.

Details about the livestream are scant, but Ubisoft tweeted a teaser featuring dictator Anton Castillo (played by Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito) stating he and his fellow Yarans will "sacrifice in the name of progress" and "rebuild paradise."

Originally due out by February 2021, Far Cry 6 was delayed due to COVID-19. Ubisoft said in a February earnings call that the open-world shooter is on track to launch by this September.
