Far Cry 5 Is The Series' Fastest Selling Game Ever

Just a note.....i find it interesting that the "left" leaning wanted more politicizing of this game."polygon" for example. yet the last truly large scale cult that was politicized was JONESTOWN. In which hundreds of people died in a cyanide suicide debacle. That cult was embraced by the left including politicians currently in power. brown pelosi etc. They not only embraced this mad man they gave him actual power in the govt.

Can I jump straight into Farcry 5 without having played any prior games? I hadn't planned on it but seeing the positive feedback and realizing that besides GoW (which won't take that long I bet) there is no other game on my schedule for some time.

2 months back a couple fellows stated this game would not sell and I replied back stating they were going to be wrong so....

Interestingly; as this is the 1st Far Cry I am not buying.

Good for them. A ton of work put into this game. Makes releases like "Sea of Thieves" seem even lazier somehow.

I applaud that they weren't ashamed to add '5' to the title. They usually stop numbering when it gets about that high.

Above all that hype, its a genuinely good game.

Nice. Kudos to Ubisoft. I really enjoyed Far Cry 4 and am looking forward to playing this in the near future.

I bought Primal instead while it was on sale on Steam. Same old Ubisoft open world game, but at least with Primal you're a bit more limited in combat and it does give a slightly different flavor to the game. 3 and 4 felt practically identical, and I felt like 5 would once again be the same.

Great game. So glad they chose not to shove politics down our throat in another video game. I was really confused why some people seemed to want that *cough* Polygon *cough*. Still plenty of satire in it if that's what you're looking for, it's just not in your face the whole time.

Gee, what happened to all that Farcry 5 boycott shenanigans lol. I skipped Primal, i might pick up this one.

All big game series will keep on doing better and better over the years since players grow in numbers and gets into gaming younger and younger...

A lot of parents couldn't care less about the PGs and buy any kind of games for their kids.
I do my best to keep my 12yo son away from violent titles but it seems like I'm keeping him aside from EVERY OTHER kids around him...
He still plays them at some other kids' home...

GTA V broke every single records there were to break and I'm pretty sure when they'll release a 6th, it'll be even bigger!
Gaming community grows so it's a pretty normal thing for all the upcoming titles to sell better as long as Devs don't screw up!

I'm glad the game is doing well. I was worried people would be overly confused by FC5.

Have heard nothing but bad things about the game, including from this site, and now it has a 9 rating and shattering sales records? Make up your mind. Is it good or not?
