The winners of this year's World Dog Awards were actually announced in the middle of January, but Bethesda only just this week talked about its win. The developer shared the image below, showcasing the real-world Dogmeat, a German Shepard named River, along with her fire hydrant prize (via PC Gamer).
River's owner is Bethesda lead level designer Joel Burgess.

It's not immediately clear what other video game dogs were nominated for Top Video Game Dog of 2015. Another standout last year was D-Dog from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

In other news about Fallout 4, the game's first expansion, Automatron, is scheduled to arrive on March 22 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It is the first of the game's three announced add-ons, with Wasteland Workshop (April) and Far Harbor (May) coming later.
