Just over a year ago at the 2008 Electronic Entertainment Expo, Microsoft announced that it had secured Xbox 360/PC exclusivity for Fallout 3 downloadable content. Now, three releases down the line, that agreement has come to an end, as Bethesda today announced that all existing--and some all-new forthcoming--Fallout 3 DLC will be making its way to the PlayStation 3. Operation: Anchorage will be the first content pack released on the PS3 in June, while The Pitt and Broken Steel will follow at four- to six-week intervals.

Bethesda has also confirmed two more downloadable content packs set for release on all formats. The first, Point Lookout, will be released in late June on the Xbox 360 and PC and will focus on a new swampland area. The second, Mothership Zeta, promises a "firsthand alien abduction" in late July on the two platforms. Both packs will cost 800 Microsoft points (£9.99, $9.99) and will make their way to the PS3 once the first three packs have been released.

In addition to the gamut of DLC, Bethesda has more retail releases for Fallout 3 in the works. Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #1 is an expansion disc containing both The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage, and it will be released for the Xbox 360 and PC on May 26 in North America and on June 12 in Europe. The second expansion disc, Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #2, will include Broken Steel and Point Lookout and will be released in August in both territories.

Finally, Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition will be available in October on either side of the Atlantic and includes the original game plus all five add-ons for £39.99/$59.99 on the Xbox 360 and PS3 and for £29.99/$49.99 on the PC.
