Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls IV are set in vastly different worlds, but soon they will come together. Bethesda today announced the Fallout 3 & Oblivion Double Pack, due out in April for the Xbox 360 and PC.

Bethesda doubles down on RPG memories this April.
Bethesda doubles down on RPG memories this April.

Set for release in North America on April 3, the Xbox 360 version of the Fallout 3 & Oblivion Double Pack will retail for $30, while the PC iteration will set gamers back $20. Bethesda did not note if the bundled games include any of the downloadable content released for either game.

Though Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion shipped for the PlayStation 3, Bethesda did not mention plans to bring the double pack to that system. A statement from Bethesda provided to GameSpot says, "At present we are not being allowed to release it on PS3. We will continue to try to change that, and would release it if we are permitted."

"We want to release it for PS3," reads a follow-up statement sent to GameSpot.

As for the games in the pack, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion shipped in 2006, with Fallout 3 arriving in 2008. Each game won a strong critical reception upon release and later spawned Game of the Year editions. I was playing Fallout 3 when my xbox rrod out of warranty. I was near half the game so now I'm too lazy to start over again (I dont have an xbox anymore since I switched to PC and I have a ps3 so no GoW3 or Halo and kinnect games for me), and while Oblivion seems like a great game I'm wondering if it has good gamplay value since I already finished Skyrim and I fear the endless grinding if the story is as bland as the Skyrim story.

Fallout 3 was one of my favorite games of this generation. If you haven't played it, and it comes with all the DLC, pick it up. The Broken Steel add-on was particularly good.

This would amount to half a year of entertainment.

Started running through Fallout 3 again, still one of my favorites. Wouldn't mind them changing the Oblivion leveling system to one like Skyrim though. Just can't get into Oblivion's leveling system. Still, a really good package of some great games.

I like how Bethesda leaves the PS3 out of everything. I know this particular instance isn't a very big deal, but still. For the next game they release, they might as well throw in a steamy turd with the PS3 version.

@SonicX_89 You haven't played them yet? You be crazy. But I was thinking the same, I have both original games but I don't have the dlc so I'd get it if all dlc was included

If it ships with all of the DLC for both games (unlikely but still hopeful), I will have no excuse for not playing either of those games yet.
