F1 2013's classic '90s and '80s content detailed by Codemasters

Codemasters has released the details of the classic drivers and tracks that will make an appearance in F1 2013.

Alongside a roster updated for the 2013 season, this year's iteration of the racing sim will feature content from the 1980s and 1990s.

The 1980s content, which will come with all copies of the game, will include the Circuit De Jerez and Brands Hatch tracks, alongside five cars: the Williams FW07B, with original driver Alan Jones and legend Alain Prost; the Lotus 98T, driven by Mario Andretti and Emerson Fittipaldi; the Lotus 100T, with Satoru Nakajima and Mika Hakkinen taking the wheel; the Ferrari F1-87, featuring Gerhard Berger and Michael Schumacher; and finally, the Williams FW12, with original driver Nigel Mansell and legend Damon Hill.

Codemasters also detailed the 1990s content, which will be available alongside the F1 2013: Classic Edition or as DLC shortly after launch. This pack features the Ferrari F92 with original driver Jean Alesi, while Codemasters says it will reveal the car's legendary driver down the line. The Williams FW14B will also appear, with original driver Nigel Mansell and legend David Coulthard, alongside Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve in the FW18 and Alain Prost in the FW21. The final '90s car is the Ferrari F399, which can be driven by Eddie Irvine and Joey Scheckter.

Codemasters recently said that, unlike in previous years, F1 2013 will not require an online pass.

F1 2013 will be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on October 4.
