Everspace 2 is set to leave early access on PC on April 6, 2023. Console launches, alongside a fully Steam Deck-compatible version, will release sometime in the Summer of 2023 with more details to come in April.

The game will still receive new features in Early Access. The game will see new enemies, challenges, equipment types and attributes, cinematics, boss fights, a new trading map, and more before the proper launch. However, an additional companion and star system will be added at launch. A story trailer was released alongside the date announcement and shows off the companions and conflicts the game will explore, as well as plenty of space battle footage.

With the new content added over the length of early access, the price of the game will be raised from $40 to $50 on February 20. Additionally, there will no longer be PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Kickstarter backers who pledged for console copies can opt either for current-gen copies or full refunds, the developer announced.

Everspace 2 released in Early Access over two years ago on January 18, 2021, though the game has been in development for five years total. You can pick up the game in Early Access on Steam, GOG, and the Microsoft Store.
