Europa Universalis III demo out now

Single-player sample of empire-building game from Paradox now on GameSpot; select tutorials included in 130MB file.

Gamers set on conquering the world can get a little practice in for free today. Paradox Interactive today released the PC demo for Europa Universalis III, which premiered on GameSpot. The demo lets gamers sample the single-player mode and weighs in at 129.8MB.

The trial features a selection of tutorial chapters and includes all the Western nations from the time period spanning the years 1492 to 1520. Gamers will learn the ins and outs of building an empire through warfare, diplomacy, exploration, and trade.

Europa Universalis III is rated E for Everyone and will retail for $39.99 when it is released on January 23 in North America. For more information, read GameSpot's previous coverage.
