Sierra has announced that it will release a playable demo of its upcoming real-time strategy game Empire Earth on October 19. The demo will include four of the game's training scenarios along with two scenarios from the game's four campaigns. One scenario will let players command a group of British soldiers during the Napoleonic Wars, while the other will let players control the legendary Red Baron, Manfred von Richthofen, during World War I.

Empire Earth will cover human history from prehistoric times all the way to the 22nd century. Players will control an infant civilization and guide it through the ages to become a great empire. The game is in development at Stainless Steel Studios, a development company headed by Age of Empires lead designer Rick Goodman, and it is scheduled for release in mid-November.
