Ellen Page says Naughty Dog "ripped off" her likeness

While true, it still doesn't change the fact that it causes confusion among potential consumers of both products. Also IMO, the changes that were made to Ellie are barely noticeable. I didn't even know ND went out of their way to make the character look any different, and certainly couldn't tell just by looking a gameplay vids and screen shots.

I believe what she is worried about is getting in trouble with her contract with Beyond Two Souls for her likeness being too similar in another game. An actor can be legally sued for likeness being used against contract limits, example would be when Sony sued Kevin Butler for using his likeness in a commercial playing a competitors console. You fanboys should just calm down!

Naughty Dog obviously copied her likeness originally. And to be fair, some similarities did shine through. I've had friends who thought it was her. So, sure, she has every right to comment on a question proposed to her. It's not like she's throwing a fit and getting all legal on Naughty Dog. At the end of the day, we have a great game, and an actress who is a bit miffed about her likeness being used. No big. Still looking forward to two souls.

And some people wondered why so many others kept on Mixing "Beyond two souls" and "last of us" so much even though they were drastically different games lol

@bmil30 I don't play Sony games, but they do have some sort of trend they keep repeating with their triple A games.

I don't think she will sue them, I believe she is only worried that when someone says "look a game with Ellen Page" they mention Last of Us instead of Beyond: Two Souls.

Page isn't about to sue anyone. She merely said that the fact that a game character looks so much like her "isn't appreciated" She isn't sueing anyone. She isn't starting a shit storm. She is just politely saying "Yea... Please dont do that again"

yeah... I wouldn't play a game where ellen page was following me around during a zombie apocalypse. But a game where Ellen Page is snapping necks and shooting people in the face like Snake? Sign me up!

I'm offended by the poor AI. I kill a guy and they don't move closer together, instead the enemies all split up and walk around never looking behind them. In fairness I played on normal so maybe it's different on hard. The really hard part was one boss fight late in the game where they would sneak up on you. Also though it was cheap with some of the scares as they get you dependent on being able to hear enemies, then you walk through a door after just checking and bam enemy spawns in front of you. Overall really enjoyed the game still and excellent story.

People this isn't BS. When this game was ennounced at E3 it was the "Game with Ellen Page" long before it was ever called Last of Us.

Didn't those E-trade ads get in trouble for portraying a celebrity likeness?
