The leading online family games service will increase EA.com's reach in the online games market.
EA.com announced today that it has acquired Pogo.com. EA.com, a subsidiary of Electronic Arts, did not disclose the financial terms of the deal. Pogo.com is the leading provider of Internet-based family games, and it has about 17 million registered members and provides popular family-oriented entertainment including card games, board games, puzzles, arcade classics, and trivia games. According to EA.com, the company plans to use the large amount of traffic on Pogo.com to help deliver upcoming titles such as Majestic and The Sims Online.
