E3 2014: Here's Your Look at Far Cry 4's Insane Villain

I personally like him. I think Ubisoft is really on to something with their villains. It almost has sort of a comic-book villain vibe to it.

A poor-quality villain demeans both the hero and the story.

Way to branch out on the main character Ubi.

But if he's not white, we can't be mad at him for being mean to that minority! Now I'll have to find something else to be incensed about.

If Ubi wants this guy to be iconic, they need to tune down his craziness a bit and show his brilliance. The Joker has just the right amount of insanity, and that is tempered by a master criminal mind. Heath Ledger opened The Dark Knight with a brilliant bank heist, and he didn't just spontaneously jam a pencil into that mobster's eye; it was a magic trick. I recall only one overt act of cruelty by Raoul Silva in Skyfall, when he shot that woman, and in all fairness he gave Bond a chance to shoot first. They were not defined by insanity but rather enhanced by flair.

I both hated and was thoroughly unimpressed by Vaas and that other bad guy, what's his name, in Far Cry 3. Unfortunately despite some passing resemblance, pink suit in Far Cry 4 feels more like Far Cry 3 stock than any master criminal of better lore.

Great on the shoes of another pretty playboy. Is this a retelling of Far Cry 3? I can't even understand why people thought it had a great story but anyway, I hope it plays as good a FC3 at least.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Judging by the entire footage, this was probably all an in-game/engine cinematic, maybe even from the first few minutes. Game's not out yet bud, let's take everything with grains of salt and not saltiness :P
