Dying Light developer Techland recently hosted a livestream offering a lengthy look at its upcoming expansion. A video of the stream has now been released for those that missed it live.

Dying Light: The Following was previously described by its developer as a "feature-heavy" story-based expansion. It will introduce dune buggy vehicles, which can be used to mow down zombies, and highly requested weapons such as the compound crossbow.

Both of those are featured in the gameplay demo below, which shows off a quest chain called The Trust Is Out There.

“For Dying Light: The Following, we're adding a number of bold game-changers to create one massive expansion," Dying Light producer Tymon Smektala said when first announcing the expansion.

"Something big that will give the game a brand-new flavor. The new map alone is the same size as all the previous maps from Dying Light combined, so there is a lot we're packing in here.

"We also kept a close eye on player feedback to help tailor what we've created here," he added. "Hopefully people will see that this new expansion is first and foremost, for the fans."

Dying Light: The Following will be free for those that own the $20 DLC pass. It will also be made available to buy on its own for $15.
