Well I had my 570 for over two years and it would still be kinda well if I didn't decide to go 4k. Now with two overclockable 970s I would probably be fine for years, if I don't decide to upgrade

No matter what you do, you'll have to spend more money to upgrade. I love how you PC snobs act like you're getting away with something. All you do is spend more money for basically the same experience. (Well not totally the same, you don't have exclusives like The Last of Us, Destiney and GTAV)

There you find tLoU which I completed, Destiny which I hated and I will get GTA 5 on Pc for the mods

I was looking forward to this game but i'm glad i didn't preorder. I've learned my lesson with Borderlands and GTA 5 which were badly optimized for PC. This title sounds like its going the same way. I'll wait for few decent reviews adn than decide if i'll get the game. But for now it sounds like the devs invested 5 minutes to convert it for PC and charge full product price.

It's so good being a part of the TRUE Master Race...
And by TRUE Master Race I mean Very High and Ultra settings. Not these Medium to Low end peasants that are really no better than the filthy console peasants...
Problem?

I own 2 Asus GTX 970s in SLI and I disagree with you. What makes Pc so great is the freedom, that you can choose what you want. You might, like me, like to own strong hardware. But if someone decides to play low on a cheap Notebook it is their decission. This freedom is what makes Pc so great

Lol "freedom"? What is free about spending way more money for that wee-bit extra? And in a few years time you'll have to consider upgrades or face lowering your setting from ultra and high anyway. My PS4 will be good for a decade. Where will your PC be then? My guess is in a landfill polluting the ground water.

As a console gamer I'm happy knowing I have the real freedom to pick and choose ANY game at ANY time for my system and not have to worry about system requirements. That's real freedom.

What exactly is the difference between having to lower the settings on a Pc and getting a huger and huger gap between the Pc and console version because the consoles hardware, just like the Pc hardware, gets older? Also you probably did not really understand what I am saying. You are free to use what you want. If I want to upgrade to get from high back to ultra this is my decission. It still looks just as good on high as on consoles.

Oh and how come those discussions always become a PC vs console discussion. This here was pure Pc talking on a Pc article. You do realise that I do own a Ps4, a WiiU, a Vita and a 3DS?

And PC gamers wonder why they are disliked. But I find it funny, ironic really, how you consider yourself "the master race" when you're spending 4-5 times more for a gaming platform that barely looks better than current gen consoles and lasts half as long. Like you're getting away with something lol

<< LINK REMOVED >> Sry to burst your bubble, as I own a PC and a PS4, PS4 is pretty much for now high end gaming device, not ultra but high for sure, and I use the same monitor and same res for both. And it's gonna be for a while a high end device as they still make most games for console first and then port it to the pc, and about the nonsense of double porting, forget it, they make the code for the console only even if it's made on pc, way easier to do anyways than to the wide range of pc hardware that is out there. And I still love pc more, just love the sony consoles too because of the games that never exist on pc, but they are starting to come around lately especially for Naruto and DragonBall games and some JRPG's.

Also you skipped high settings. Medium was last gen.

I have an AMD Quad at 3.2ghz, an Nvidia 650ti Boost with 2gb of GDDR5 onboard ram and 8 gig of system ram. I don't even meet the minimum requirements. I guess I'll pass on this game.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> Crysis 1 is horribly optimized on AMD's side so it has some ridiculous frame drops. I can probably run it at 30 with V-Sync. Crysis 2 and 3 both max out at 60 FPS thanks to overclocking and my 3770k.

I am not going to lie, i was surprised as hell how far the HD 7950 can go.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> 7950 is little bit weaker(because Boost version is sameish) as a 660Ti.
And with a 660Ti and a i73770@3.9Ghz(it's 3.5Ghz version, but I put it to turbo in bios so it doesn't switch to the default clock while idling or any other scenario) Shadow of the Mordor runs fine 1080p, tex res med everything else max, why tex res med, because I have only 2 GB ram, the textures don't fit in it so it has to start swapping the textures after every render, if I had 660ti with 6GB ram it would run everything at max.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> The 660 Ti is not exactly comparable to the 7950. With the latest drivers the cards are about equal at stock speeds, that is with the 7950 at 850/1250. If i overclock it just a little, the 660Ti is not in the same league anymore. The 7950 is on par with the GTX 680 and 7970 at that point. The GTX 670 is pretty much equal to the 7950. Even OCing the 670 a little makes to on par with the 680/7970. Even the same can be said about the r9 290 or GTX 780 or GTX 970 and most likely the R9 380x lol.

This is all old news, honestly you should know this stuff by now.....If you don't believe me, see Hardocp's R9 280 benchmarks. 280=7950 as the 280x=7970, both rebrands. Don't give me that bullsh*t that the cards are different when even AMD claims them as rebrands......

What that means is they recommend an Xbox 360 controller IF you are going to play with the "optional controller."

Now I will say the menu for the game is easier to use with a keyboard than the mouse, but other than that this game definitely doesn't feel like a sad port. It's no where near as bad as Borderlands 1 or Bulletstorm.
