A new trailer for Capcom's PS4-exclusive RPG Deep Down has emerged, showcasing the game's numerous foes and end-level bosses.

The video, released during the Tokyo Game Show, shows fire-breathing dragons and a giant enemy crab-like beast. It also sheds more light on the game's story, with the player living in a futuristic New York set in the year 2094, travelling back to 1494 to slay dungeon-dwelling monsters.

Deep Down, in development at Capcom Online Games, will be free-to-play and feature microtransactions. In February, Capcom's chief games designer Yoshinori Ono offered some insight into how the microtransaction model will work.

"The game Deep Down is provided free of charge, but players are required to pay for additional items and other game content," he explained.

"To ensure people playing the game don't lose interest, we will keep working to deliver stable long-term services."

Capcom has not set a release date for the project, though it has confirmed the game is a PS4 exclusive.
