DualShock 4 can support PlayStation 3 with limited functionality

The DualShock 4 controller is somewhat compatible with the PlayStation 3, a YouTube video has shown.

YouTube user Udetto showed the controller in action In his latest episode of his Computer Spiele series, running Urban Trial Freestyle in the process.

The controller only runs with a wired connection, and Udetto adds that the controller's performance varies depending on each game.

Sony has also confirmed that basic features of the DualShock 4 will be compatible with Windows PCs, although the company has not said if it will be publishing its own official drivers to allow compatibility with features such as the touchpad.

The DualShock 4 will be available separately with from the PlayStation 4--in Jet Black, Magma Red, and Wave Blue colours--with an recommended retail price of $59.99

The PlayStation 4 will be released on November 15 in North America and on November 29 in Europe.
