Drakengard release date set for Japan

According to the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, Square has set the Japanese release date of Drakengard for September 11 at the retail price of 6,800 yen ($57). Drakengard is scheduled for release next year in North America, but it will first be released in Japan under the name of Drag-On Dragoon. A development company named Cavia is producing the title. In Drakengard, players take control of a massive red dragon that will let them attack enemies from the sky. When most of the enemies are cleared out, players can jump off the dragon and finishing off any remaining foes via melee combat.
