Capcom has announced that it plans to release Dragon's Lair on the Game Boy Color in November. Developed by Digital Eclipse, Dragon's Lair for the GBC is based closely on the original arcade game, including the video sequences from the original.

"Players will be stunned when they see the quality of animation on the Game Boy Color. It's amazing," said Todd Thorson, director of marketing for Capcom Entertainment. "Dragon's Lair is incredibly popular, and gameplay on this version perfectly re-creates the arcade original on the Game Boy Color. We are thrilled to bring this hot video game classic to one of the hottest systems on the market and look forward to other opportunities with the Dragon's Lair line."

The original arcade version, released in June 1993, has generated more than US$117 million in revenue and has been enjoyed by over 300 million people worldwide. It is one of only three video games - the others being the original Pong and Pac-Man - to be showcased in the Smithsonian.
