Broly arrives for a second time.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is getting the final fighter in its second Fighter Pass this week, with Broly (DBS) arriving on December 5 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The second character DLC pack has so far delivered new fighters Jiren, Videl, Goku (GT), Janemba, and Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta, and the Dragon Ball Super iteration of Broly is the final character included. He will be available for everyone with the Fighter Pass, and for separate purchase, on December 5.

It's not clear whether there will be a third Fighters Pass for the now nearly two-year-old fighting game; a total of 12 characters have been added since launch. You can check out Broly's moves and techniques in the trailer below.

Now Playing: Who Is Broly? | Dragon Ball Z

Broly has actually already come to the game as part of the first Fighter Pass, but this iteration is a slightly different take and design. It's not unusual for Dragon Ball FighterZ to have multiple models of the same character, all with different move sets (Goku appears in four different iterations, not including fusions), but Broly is distinct because the Super version of the character is "canon" within the main series. The original Broly character introduced into the game only exists in the Dragon Ball Z movies, which are not considered canon. Dragon Ball Super: Broly presented a new take on the character and his backstory, and it's from that film that this fighter's moves and appearance have been pulled.

The next Dragon Ball game, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, will release on January 17, 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Whereas FighterZ is a fighting game, Kakarot will be an action adventure.
