GodGames has posted a memorial message for its long-time friend and coworker Douglas Wayne Myres Jr., who died last night from an asthma attack. He was 36 years old. According to GodGames CEO Mike Wilson, Myres was the heart and soul of the company and his personal best friend for the past four years. He added, "Doug was quite simply the best human being I have ever known... Doug was the kind of person who made me want to be a better person. He was a walking, talking reason to believe in the human spirit and goodness." The official GodGames Web site contains an extensive collection of notes from friends and colleagues of Myres.

Services will be held on Monday, May 7, at the Laureland Funeral Home in Ft. Worth, Texas. Visitation will be Sunday night from 6:00-8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that anyone wishing to send something make a donation to the Friends of Ft. Worth Nature Club and Refuge or a charity of your choice in Doug's name. For more information, visit the GodGames Web site.
