Dominions 2 goes gold

Illwinter Game Design and Shrapnel Games announced that Dominions 2: The Ascension Wars has gone gold. The turn-based strategy game sees players assuming the role of one of many gods, in a fantasy world, vying to become the one true god. To achieve their goal, players will need to raise armies, assassinate enemy leaders, wield powerful magic, and crush nonbelievers.

"Dominions 2 is an amazing game," claimed Tim Brooks, president and founder of Shrapnel Games. "Illwinter has done such a fantastic job on it. What's most impressive is the amount of depth present. The possible actions you can do in any given turn is truly staggering. Best of all, anyone who appreciates a great strategy game will get a kick out of this. It's not like you have to be a Tolkienphile or know what a +5 Holy Avenger is to enjoy it."
