Dominions 2 demo descends

Sample of Shrapnel's turn-based fantasy-strategy title is now available.

Today, Shrapnel Games released a demo version of Dominions 2: The Ascension Wars. Somewhat similar in theme to Age of Mythology--although it will be turn-based, not real-time--the fantasy strategy title follows magic-empowered factions who are waging war to determine which of their leaders will be "the one true god." No details on what scenario was specifically featured in the demo were given or whether it, like the full game, would support multiplayer play.

Developed by Sweden's Illwinter Design, Dominions 2 is available for the PC and Mac, as well as for users of the Linux and Solaris operating systems. Having gold gone last week, the game is on schedule for a November 28 release date at a suggested retail price of $44.95. The PC demo is available from GameSpot, while the other-format demos can be downloaded from the official Shrapnel site.
