Dog's Life to benefit SPCA
Upcoming doggie adventure on the PS2 will donate a portion of sales to the cruelty-prevention society.
Hip Games is teaming up with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) for its upcoming release of Dog's Life. The company will provide the Internet arm of the SPCA with a portion of the proceeds from sales of the PlayStation 2 game. More specifically, the funds will be used to sponsor the Adoption Central portion of the Web site. Dog's Life casts players as a canine that travels cross-country to rescue his dog-napped friend. The game features battles with neighborhood hounds and "smell-o-vision" for exploring the varied environments. It is scheduled for a July 27 release.
