Disney Dreamlight Valley's Cozy Edition Is Discounted For Black Friday, Comes With Bonus Content
Ahead of its full release in December, you can save big on the delightful and cozy Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Disney Dreamlight Valley fulfills the age-old fantasy of owning real estate and being neighbors with Mickey Mouse. For Black Friday, you can pick up this delightful game as it prepares to exit the early access part of its development on December 5. Normally $50, Amazon and Best Buy are offering Disney Dreamlight Valley for $35.
This is a pretty good deal, because while Disney Dreamlight Valley was originally going to be a free-to-play title, developer Gameloft changed course and opted to make it a premium game that will receive regular content updates. In case you missed it when it was first announced, Disney Dreamlight Valley is essentially Animal Crossing meets The Sims. Not only will you build your own home while restoring the land to pristine beauty, you'll also interact with several characters from across the Disney and Pixar universes.
You'll work to free the Dream Castle from the insidious grip of the Forgetting in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and along the way, you'll unlock the unique Realms of beloved characters. Each Realm has its own challenges to face, puzzles to solve, and friends to bring back to Dreamlight Valley. Best Buy has PS5, PS4, Xbox, and Switch editions of the game and Amazon is offering the PlayStation and Xbox versions. This deal is for the Cozy Edition as well, adding a physical version of the game (the Switch version is a download code), an exclusive sticker sheet, a double-sided poster, and the following digital goodies:
- 14,500 Moonstones
- Cottage House Style
- Exclusive Chesire Cat Sweater
- Exclusive Racoon Companion Skins
"With a fair in-game economy and gameplay that keep genre fans coming back, the Animal Crossing-like could have the potential to become a hit with players of all ages--but that microtransaction question loomed large," Mark Delaney wrote when the game first launched in early access. "After spending an hour with the Gameloft development team and checking out a hands-off demo, I'm heartened to have seen a pay model without uncomfortable caveats, making me more confident Dreamlight Valley will be well populated by fans of the genre and brand alike."
Since then, Disney Dreamlight Valley has seen numerous updates, patches, and tweaks to its design, fine-tuning it into a fun getaway trip starring Disney's biggest names.
