Diablo 4 Is Going To Have A Lot More "Bizarre" and "Exciting" Legendaries In Full Launch

Legendaries seen in the beta aren't all of what's in the full game.

Blizzard just ended Diablo IV's beta, and there will be many more Legendaries in Diablo IV's full release on June 6--according to Diablo IV's associate game director Joseph Piepiora.

"I don’t think folks realize how many more legendary powers exist beyond what was on display during the #DiabloIV beta," Piepiora said on Twitter. "There are a lot of bizarre, exciting, and totally balanced legendaries to discover when the game goes live in June!"

He later clarified in a follow-up reply to a user that The Codex of Power only contains half of all Legendary powers. "[There are] plenty more legendary powers [that] can be found later in the game experience," said Piepiora.

Legendaries are rare drops and can be class-specific, but there are also Legendaries used by all classes. We have a gallery of more than 70 Diablo IV Legendaries found in the beta if you'd like to know more.

During the beta, Legendaries and other items dropped at an increased rate. Blizzard confirmed it adjusted the drop rate so players could get a "fuller experience and better test," according to Diablo general manager Rod Fergusson.

Diablo IV will be released on June 6 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. But if players order the deluxe or ultimate editions, they'll get to access the full game four days earlier on June 2. Check out our Diablo IV preorder guide for more info.
