Destiny 2: Where Is Xur This Week? Exotic Items / Location Guide (Nov. 13-17)

The first visit from Xur after the launch of Beyond Light brings another fresh batch of Exotics for your collection.

Comments

Destiny 2's new expansion, Beyond Light, has arrived, bringing new Exotics, gear, and story to the game, along with a lot of other changes. But Xur's arrival with a bag of Exotics hasn't changed--he's back in the solar system this weekend. Head to the Tower, to the Hangar area, to find Xur this week. For his weapon, Xur is offering Lord of Wolves. Hunters can pick up the Raiden Flux chest armor; for Titans, there's the Aeon Safe gauntlets; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Chromatic Fire chest armor.

Xur Location

Look for Xur in the Hangar, up on a catwalk near the edge of the area.

Spawn in at the Tower Courtyard transmat location and turn left to head toward the Hangar. At the bottom of the stairs, turn left again and head up the stairs near the edge of the area, at the north end. You'll find Xur on a catwalk looking out over the city.

Xur Exotic Items

Xur kicks off his first visit of Beyond Light and the Season of the Hunt with Lord of Wolves, which is basically a shotgun combined with a fusion rifle. The powerful gun fires Solar-infused shrapnel and can be switched to burst fire to launch several short-range blasts in quick succession, which is great for annihilating close-range targets. But if you're not a fan of his other options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don't already own. He also has the new Xenology Quest, which rewards an Exotic Cipher you can use to purchase Exotics from either Xur or the Tower's Monument to Lost Lights. The quest requires you to either complete Strikes or win matches in Gambit and the Crucible.

  • Exotic Engram -- 97 legendary shards
  • Lord of Wolves -- 29 legendary shards
  • Raiden Flux -- 23 legendary shards
  • Aeon Safe -- 23 legendary shards
  • Chromatic Fire-- 23 legendary shards
  • Xenology quest -- free

Lord of Wolves (Shotgun)

It might not be the Crucible powerhouse it once was, but Lord of Wolves is still a very powerful shotgun with fusion rifle-like capabilities.
It might not be the Crucible powerhouse it once was, but Lord of Wolves is still a very powerful shotgun with fusion rifle-like capabilities.

Though its Crucible heyday has passed, Lord of Wolves is still a formidable shotgun that you'll want to have in your collection and bring out in PvP fights. It has the power of a solar shotgun that fires shrapnel, but comes with two firing modes: the standard shotgun spread fire, and a burst-fire mode that fires three close-range shots in a row. That makes it great for eliminating Guardians up close in particular, but you'll have to be close for it to be fully effective.

Raiden Flux (Hunter)

Amp up your Arc Staff Super with Raiden Flux, which increases both its damage and duration.

You might be having fun messing with Stasis powers right now, but when you eventually switch back to your Arc Staff Super, you might want to bring Raiden Flux along. The chest armor increases the damage of your Arc Staff when you land quick successive attacks with it, and that also increases its duration. That makes this a great Exotic for extending your Super in the Crucible or for PvE play, where you can smash through whole crowds of weaker enemies and boost yourself up for boss damage as well.

Aeon Safe (Titan)

Aeon Safe gives benefits to your allies when you use your melee, but you'll get the most out of it if your fireteam wears Aeon Exotics as well.

You'll get the most out of Aeon Safe if the rest of your fireteam is rocking some Aeon Cult Exotics as well. The gauntlets give boons to your nearby allies whenever you use a melee strike, granting grenade energy to Warlocks, melee energy to other Titans, and dodge energy to Hunters. Allies still get the benefits if they're not wearing their own Aeon Exotics, but the boosts are significantly higher if you coordinate outfits.

Chromatic Fire (Warlock)

When you get kinetic precision kills with Chromatic Fire, you'll trigger an elemental explosion matching your subclass.
When you get kinetic precision kills with Chromatic Fire, you'll trigger an elemental explosion matching your subclass.

Chromatic Fire smashes enemies with some extra elemental explosions. When you have the chest armor equipped, precision kills from your kinetic weapon get a bonus: They cause enemies to explode in a blast of the element that matches your equipped subclass. That can be very handy in situations where modifiers like Match Game are making your life difficult, but explosions are useful wherever you can get them.
