Destiny 2: Season Of The Deep Seasonal Challenges Guide - Week 6

Here's how challenges work and what's asked of you during Destiny 2's Season of the Deep.

Comments

Things are starting to wrap up in Destiny 2's Season of the Deep, as the current storyline has revealed big details about the origins of The Witness and The Veil. For Week 6, it's very much business as usual in this part of the galaxy, with several seasonal objectives once again focused on completing the latest story mission, taking part in seasonal activities, and taking on tough opponents.

You can also flex your skill with auto rifles, hand cannons, scout rifles, glaives, or linear fusion rifles in the Crucible, generate Orbs of Power in Vanguard, Gambit, or Crucible playlists, stun Champions in high-level activities, and defeat bosses in strikes to earn plenty of XP and Bright Dust.

Lastly, you can try your hand at some fishing to complete the Go Big (Fish) or Go Home seasonal challenge, which requires you to catch a fish this big. Or around 18 in-game kilograms in case you can't see how far my arms are stretched right now.

One of the other changes this season is focused on how seasonal bonuses are earned. Previous seasons would give you a chance to earn a rare resource each week which could then be redeemed at a vendor for a specific seasonal bonus, but Season 21 is changing up that approach. Instead, you'll have a selection of Season of the Deep-specific challenges that you can complete. Once you've completed one of these challenges, you'll automatically unlock a perk for your Guardian.

These perks are familiar to the ones that were available in previous seasons, as you'll be able to earn high-stat armor pieces, extra Deep engrams, and increased vendor reputation. You won't be able to accomplish all of them in one go, but you will be able to work through them at your leisure during Season of the Deep.

Head to that location, cycle through public events and lost sectors, equip close-range weapons, and you'll be able to quickly finish up the EDZ Activities, The Fallen Fall, and Close-Range Calibration objectives. You'll also need to catch some fish, so be sure to check out our Destiny 2 fishing guide.

Lastly, you can head to the Crucible to take part in the time-limited Rift multiplayer mode. This will only be available until next week's reset, so finish this quickly and move on to Gambit next. Week 4

After several missions focused on diving into the methane depths of Titan and cryptic hints pointing towards the true origin of The Witness, the seasonal storyline is starting to look a little clearer. Before you can uncover more clues that will lead into the next season and next year's The Final Shape expansion, it's time to clear a few seasonal challenges off the board.

This week, the focus is once again on completing Deep Dive and Salvage activities, and handing out commendations. You'll also want to have a long-range weapon equipped--like a scout rifle or a linear fusion rifle--and once you're done exploring Titan, it's time to head into PvP for a few rounds of the time-limited Momentum Control event.

For the Gambit portion of this week's challenges, having a trusty auto rifle will earn you some Challenger XP and Bright Dust, and if you've been steadily unlocking armor mods on the seasonal artifact, you should have a completed seasonal objective as soon as you log in.

Week 5

The fifth week of Destiny 2's Season of the Deep has gone live, and at this point in the current storyline, seasonal challenges are starting to get fewer in number. There's still plenty to do under the Titan sea, and this week you can start off by completing the latest chapter in the spooky narrative.

Once that's done, you'll want to have a hand cannon equipped, as well as a scout rifle, pulse rifle, or auto rifle in one of your other slots to work your way through several weapon-focused challenges. Completing Deep Dive and Salvage activities with eight bounties in your inventory at the same time will help you complete several seasonal objectives at once as well.

After you're done on Titan, it's time to start a few Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit playlist activities. For the PvP side of the seasonal challenges this week, focus on Iron Banner. If the Battle Rhythm challenge still isn't complete by the time you're done here, equip auto rifles, hand cannons, scout rifles, glaives, or linear fusion rifles in your weapon slots, find a lost sector that's heavily populated, and grind through the opposition to scratch this task off of your to-do list.
