Destiny 2: Lightfall Launch Trailer Teases The Beginning Of The End

PlayStation's State of Play event brought with it another look at the upcoming Destiny 2 expansion.

As part of Sony's State of Play event, Bungie revealed the launch trailer for Destiny 2's upcoming expansion, Lightfall. In it, the studio teases the "beginning of the end," as Destiny 2's ongoing Light and Darkness Saga begins to reach its conclusion.

So, what can we expect in the saga's final expansions? Based on the trailer, more dialogue from The Witness, a confrontation involving a giant weapon being shot by The Traveler, and the potential death of The Tower's favorite shipwright, Amanda Holliday. Fortunately, we won't have to wait much longer to find out for sure.

Lightfall releases next Tuesday, February 28. It looks to be a major update for the game, introducing the new Strand subclass (which features a grappling hook for a new way of traversing the world of Destiny), a new campaign, a new location, and much more.

Lightfall releases alongside the debut of the next season, Season of Defiance, and coincides with an update that adjusts numerous aspects of the game, revamping difficulty, reworking a variety of weapons and abilities, adjusting weapon crafting, and much more.
