Nintendo has had a pretty good track record of releasing decent to very good wrestling games throughout the years. Titles such as WWF War Zone and WWF No Mercy were each strong titles on the Nintendo 64, with a nice mixture of solid fighting mechanics and good atmosphere. The trend continues with WWE Day of Reckoning, a plucky little GameCube wrestling title whose fighting engine relies on a more methodical pace and intelligent use of counters in order to achieve success. The game also includes a physics engine that takes better account of each grappler's weight. Using a power meter which you must charge up in order to complete a body slam, this system more accurately reflects the disparity in size in many WWE matches.

This is just one example of quailty game play found in a title that is continuing to uphold the fine tradition of Nintendo wrestling games. Check out our full review of WWE Day of Reckoning and let us know what you think of the game in our GameSpot Wrestling Discussion Forum.
