Actor Dave Bautista finished up his run as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but could he ever come back to work on another superhero project some day? Speaking to Gizmodo, Bautista said he continues to have a relationship with Marvel executives Kevin Feige and Lou D'Esposito, both of whom are aware that he is interested in more Marvel projects.

It doesn't have to be a Marvel project, though, as Bautista said he would consider working with DC in some form or another.

"I love the universe—the superhero universe, I love it. I'm a fan. So Marvel or DC, if they call, I would answer the phone," Bautista said. "And if the role makes sense, I'd be all over it. I just would like the opportunity to do a bigger role, a different role. Maybe a deeper role. I'd love to have the opportunity to play, like an ominous villain in the superhero universe."

Don't expect Bautista to come back to play Drax again, though, as he said, "My journey with Drax is over."

Bautista's Drax character is a good guy with many memorable scenes of silliness, so it would indeed be a big turn to see him take on the role of a villain. He played the assassin Mr. Hinx in the James Bond movie Spectre, though that doesn't necessarily qualify as a villain.

Bautista will be seen next in Dune: Part II, which hits theaters on March 1.
