Dark Souls 2 developers 'have not put any thought into' Xbox One, PS4 versions

Next gen doesn't have nearly the same install base. We're talking about a game that sold close to 2 million units here on tens of millions of system. We may get a GotY version on the new systems though if it sells well enough.

Why should they put in extra work and cost for this? They know who their fans are, and they haven't thrown their PS3s in a dumpster.

It worked for Rockstar with GTAV.

Sure, the PC version would be the best looking, but PC gaming also has a small fanbase.

Go big or go home. Looks like From Software is going home. What a shame I would have loved to play this on my One.

Actually what this means is

"we are going to make a PS4/Xbox one version, but please also buy it for PS3 and X360."

I am deff playing this game, however I won't be buying it. It will be through gamefly. They would sell way more titles if they ported the game and it's gonna be hard for many gamers to decide to pick this up as a few games will be hitting the new systems around the same time.

Probably will pass, enjoyed Demon Souls and beat it like 10 times but found Dark Souls to be dull and never even bothered to finish. Just didn't feel the same, don't know why.

I hope there's no PS4/X180 version coming in the future. I want to get the PS3 Collection's Edition, but this has me worried, because if there's a PS4 version, I'll be extremely pissed off.

I too have not given any thought to the PS4 and Xbox One at this juncture. Praise the Sun!
