Cyberpunk 2077 has multiplayer

Like with witcher im also skeptical on this one as well. But its not EA so im not that scared...

The real problem these days are micro transactions, mandatory multiplayer and "always online" (when is not really needed, like a MMOG). I doubt that CDPR will put any of these in CP2077 or The Witcher 3. Multiplayer and DLC are not bad things by themselves.

I don't know why some people are worried about this. CD project red is one of the few developers these days that care about their fans so if they want to include this in their game im for it. I trust that the multiplayer coming from them will be good and not some tacked on piece of shit.

I did expect this, actually I thought they already said that. I have more doubts regarding The Witcher 3 Multiplayer rather than Cyberpunk since multiplayer is more fit for the latter rather than the former. In any case, CDPR have my complete trust! :D

It's basically mandatory to have MP nowadays.

Hope = lost? Really? I'm not a fan of multiplayer myself, but saying that game will be a garbage or CD Projekt RED's bad now, is simply stupid. I would say: let's wait and see what they gonna show!

It's not like we know how it is going to play yet. I just want to see gameplay.

Yep, I smell a buyout coming. CDPR is going console, and fast. Either that or they just got one hell of a paycheck from Sony. All faith in them is lost.

CDPR is possible the only dev i actually have any faith in so im more than willing to belive its going to be done well until proven otherwise.

Demon`s Souls, Dark Souls, Journey, Portal 2 and Red Dead Redemption were absolutely brilliant single-player experiences that also offered equally brilliant multi-player experiences. It IS possible, and I have zero doubt about CDPR`s respect over the crafting of their Cyberpunk single-player campaign.

If there is any compagny I trust currently, it's CD projekt.

So I'm sure this will end up great.

But I can't help but be a bit disapointed at this news... Multiplayer... I hoped it'd be a single player game. MP change game mechanics in a way that rarely pleases me.

Unlike Bioware, execs in suits haven't forced this decision on them- if CDPR want multiplayer in their game then it's because they think they can make it work it. I trust them Very excited for this and the Wticher 3

multiplay? and suffer people in MY game?

I don't mind coop (I actually love coop when it's not just an added clone of the main character), but competitive multiplayer often results in failures when the game is not dedicated to be a competitive multiplayer game.

Former beloved franchises, renowned for their great single player experiences, became shadows of their former selves because of multiplayer (among other reasons). Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty and Mass Effect come to mind. Remember when CoD had a great single player campaign? Yea, it's been awhile.

Cyberpunk is a new franchise however, so we'll see.

Easiest implementation that most RPGs could do is rather than one person control a three person party with moron AI, real person can control each character. Pretty surprised this doesn't exist more often. I think Eternal Sonata had this option but it was offline only, making it pretty fail... in addition to the game being hella mediocre.
