In addition to, ahem, love-making, the update also adds new progressions systems, weapons, buildings, and cult-life mechanics. According to the update's press release, these new features will allow your cult's followers to "delight in gluttonous rituals, vain buildings, and wrathful doctrines," as well as give Lambert the power to invite their most loyal followers to join their Circle of Disciples, a revamped levelling system of follower progression.

As for what cult-life mechanics entails, the studio has revealed that shiny poop, baneful brooms, and bigger, better buildings are also included in Sins of the Flesh. In an effort to help improve automation, Massive Monster is also adding a new tier to Janitor Stations and Storage Structures, both of which will improve automation and enable your cultists to better care for the their compound. Lastly, you can now construct a Tailor building. Once unlocked, you'll be able to dress your cultists in one of 23 different outfits.

Just outside of your cult, a new weapon lies waiting for your lamb overlord to claim as their own. Sins of the Flesh also introduces the Blunderbuss, a powerful gun that promises to deliver big damage in close quarters. However, you can also charge the gun up and use it to snipe enemies from long range, giving it a fair bit of versatility.

The Sins of the Flesh update comes after developer Massive Monster shared a post on X promising to add sex to the game if the company's account hit 300,000 followers by the end of the year. The post, which was made on November 28, 2023, met its goal in less than two hours.

Since then, the account has nearly doubled this number, and now sits at well over 584,000 followers.

To celebrate the update and the studio's continued success, Massive Monster has announced Cult of the Lamb will be 40% off from January 16-23.
