Crytek USA wants to buy Darksiders IP

it will be 60% graphics!

this would be amazing if they did bought darksiders 2 with the power of crytek i would but that game day one

They had better make a Darksiders 3 & 4

I donno, I felt like Darksiders II lacked the grit of the first game, and was more mythical and kind of made me think of an action packed World of Warcraft or something. I can't see buying another game unless it ends up being really dark and ends up being more interesting.

Hopes are sky high for this! Please buy this IP Crytek!

It doesn't mean when you have CryEngine Power and super Awesome Graphic you can make awesome games! even Crysis 2,3 are boring with that Quality! Darksider has Its own style and Art and only the creators who spent years on It can make It a great series by fallowing the style! not by a new Studio who didn't have any experience about It!

Awesome news. Its a really fun series and I hope we see more of it in the future. After all theres still two horsemen left.

Oh Gawd yes, Buy it and make it. I would be forever greatful and loyal, just like I am to Rockstar when they made the GTA Series what it is today.

if they would've added coop or pvp to this title, it would be so much more popular. singleplayer only games are becoming a thing of the past, you either rent it or just gamefly it, no need to buy it anymore unless you continue to replay it, and there's only so many times you can replay the same story (unless its a REAL rpg with diff classes/races). and for those that are saying, if they add pvp the singleplayer will diminish, well guess what, you might not have a game at all considering the present state of limbo

If Crytek gets it then thats a really good sign that this game will stay alive it has so much potential i loved this game

if ea take this great game you all know game will die. every year we will see a darksiders game. over and over again same game same shit. after 2 or 3 games later you will realize game is really in ea hands..

I'd like to see more Darksiders titles. It's kind of depressing that no one picked it up yet. Let's hope Crytek gets it.

I'd say "well at least it will get a decent PC port" but crysis 2 is still a pathetic port and an absolute slap in the face after the ground breaking first game (at least in terms of pushing the PC to it's limits...even now). Crysis 3 was better but still as long as EA holds the leash for crytek, I'll be dubious. I did like Darksiders 2 quite a bit and Darksiders 1 was OK. I like any game that borrows the zelda formula since surprisingly few games actually do that.

That is really good news for the Darksiders IP, they will be able to use the Crytek engine so they can make it look even more amazing and Crytek is such a good publisher that it will be in safe hands.

I would've loved to see Platinum Games buy Darksiders, they know how to create an excellent single-player fighting game, but this is awesome as well. Having the original developers continue the series will ensure that the series doesn't alter it's lore or concepts. I hated the first Darksiders but the second game was such a major improvement that I hope the franchise continues to live on for the next generation.

I just hope there's a Darksiders 3 in the future and it's quality regardless of who makes it. The original was a breath of much needed fresh air for games.
