Cowboy Bebop and More Coming to Crunchyroll Following Funimation Partnership

Crunchyroll announced today that it has partnered with anime licensing company Funimation to bring more series to its streaming service. In return, Funimation will add some of Crunchyroll's series to its service, Funimation Now, and bring others to home video.

"Through this agreement, Crunchyroll will continue creating the best subtitled streaming experience for fans, while Funimation will focus on delivering the best in English-language dubbed ('Broadcast Dubs') streaming," Crunchyroll said in a press release. "This collaboration will enable fans to enjoy more anime in more ways than ever before."

Crunchyroll also announced what's coming to both companies' streaming services. Subtitled versions of Funimation's summer simulcast titles are available on its service today. These include D.Gray Man Hallow, First Love Monster, and Puzzle & Dragons X. Catalog titles Cowboy Bebop, Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, and Psycho-Pass can also now be streamed on Crunchyroll.

Funimation Now, on the other hand, will receive broadcast dubs of Crunchyroll's summer titles--such as 91 Days, Mob Psycho 100, and Orange--at a date to be announced soon. Catalog titles coming to the service in the coming weeks include Free: Iwatobi Swim Club and The Testament of Sister New Devil.

Funimation will also distribute home video versions of Crunchyroll titles with both dubbed and subtitled versions. Current titles planned for release in this way include Ace Attorney, Alderamin on the Sky, Bungo Stray Dogs, Joker Game, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, and Relife. Crunchyroll and Funimation will work together to produce and distribute all current and future titles.

Crunchyroll noted that no titles are leaving either service and that additional titles coming to both services will be announced in the future. The company added that it's membership prices will not increase. You can read the rest of the FAQ here.
