Comic-Con 2009: GameSpot's Live Photo Stream
Comic-Con 2009 is in full swing and we're here to make sure you see all of it.
With over 100,000 people in attendance, Comic-Con 2009 promises to be one of the biggest shows ever. The event has grown considerably from it's more humble days, and now encompasses snippets of everything we care about - games, movies, comics, toys, and loads of stars. It's going to be big, it's going to be sweaty, and most of all - it's going to be stupidly fun. The show is completely sold out, and if you're hoping to catch a glimpse of the spectacle it promises to be, we should have plenty for you to gawk at.
Preview Night
The actual show doesn't start until Thursday, but the event organizers have what's called Preview Night on Wednesday. The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m., and basically gives a select few a sneak preview of what's to come. Photographer:
Snazzy Toys and Collectibles
Comic-Con is really know for it's toys, as tons of manufacturers make limited edition runs specifically for the show. Some collectibles can cost hundreds of dollars, but there's plenty at the show that's affordable for everyone. And honestly, who doesn't like Jawas in a hand basket? Photographer:
The Show Floor
With everything on display, the Comic-Con show floor transforms into a giant playground filled with games, movies, toys, gigantic statues, and costumed characters. Photographer:
The Never Ending Crowds
The show is big - super big. Outside, the sidewalks and streets are crowded, and the teeming masses shuffle as quickly as they can to get into the convention center. Some don't quite make it. Photographer:

The Costumed Peeps
It's truly amazing how much effort goes into these costumes. Of course, some of them are show floor pros, but most of the folks are there to have fun. The pack of soldiers from Halo with Cortana was particularly impressive. Photographer:
Scenes from the Floor
Comic-Con has a ridiculous number of things in plain sight. A gigantic Bumblebee statue is pretty much impossible to miss, but a tiny figurine crime scene starring Darth Maul is something you could walk by a thousand times and never notice. Photographer:
In Full Effect
We have to hand it to the Transformers, the level of complexity in some of these Bumblebee outfits is remarkable. Not to be forgotten, Pedobear made an appearance with a few lollipops, and the slumbering Batman was far too good to resist. Photographer:
