A tweet from Jazzpunk developer Luis Hernandez and a new official Steam page for the game revealed that the bizarre, first-person comedy adventure Jazzpunk will release on PC and Mac Feb. 7.

Set in an alternate reality Cold War world of corporate espionage, "CyberCrime," and "sentient martinis," Necrophone Games explains that Jazzpunk's gameplay is inspired by old spoof comedy movies and cartoons, with a focus on odd gadgets, exotic locales, and open-world exploration.

Jazzpunk is also a finalist for the Independent Games Festival 2014's prestigious Seumas McNally Grand Prize. Previous winners include Fez and Minecraft.

The best way to understand what's so appealing about Jazzpunk is to see it in action. Luckily, You can watch this extensive hands-on demo of the game we shot at PAX Prime 2013.
