Pictures of Doom novels may lead some to blame Colorado killings on games.

We've been hearing reports all day regarding the recent student massacre in Colorado. So far reports have claimed multiple reasons for the duo's horrible acts citing pen and paper games like Vampire: The Masquerade, films, Nazi groups and the like.

One of the unconfirmed rumors is that one of the alleged killers, Eric Harris was a die-hard Doom fan who ran a web site where he hosted various Doom mods. While nothing has been proven to far, recent pictures on CNN clearly show two novels based on Doom in a clear evidence bag from Harris' personal belongings.

Already, GameSpot News has been contacted by one mainstream media organization regarding gaming violence and its possible connection with the murders. While we're hoping to not have gaming in the media again after the last lawsuit brought forth by a group of Kentucky parents - this may be the direction this situation is going. As more information regarding any confirmed connections to the gaming world and the Colorado incident, we'll report it as soon as we can.
