CoD: Warzone And MW2 Season 6 Release Date And Details

Call of Duty is gearing up for the sixth and final season of Modern Warfare 2. Here are all the major announcements for the big update, including a crossover with Spawn, a Halloween event, Diablo shop bundles, and more.

Call of Duty Season 6 start times

Call of Duty Season 6 arrives on September 27. The update will go live at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST across all platforms.

What to expect from Season 6

As to be expected, Call of Duty Season 6 comes with a brand-new battle pass that includes 100 tiers of content. This final season includes a spooky vibe with content themed around The Haunting Halloween event, and the antihero Spawn serves as the season's paid battle pass operator. The pass also includes a new assault rifle, submachine gun, and a melee weapon to unlock in the free tiers.

The seasonal event is the return of Call of Duty's The Haunting, which brings new game modes, spooky map updates, and jump scares to multiplayer, battle royale, and DMZ modes. There will also be plenty of Halloween-themed bundles in the shop, including a crossover with Diablo, a Doom-themed chainsaw bundle, Ash Williams from the Evil Dead, and more. The Haunting event arrives on October 17.

Warzone

Battle royale and DMZ will have Halloween-themed modes for The Haunting event, and Al Mazrah will get a night time map variant for the mid-season. Vondel will feature a Vondead zombies-themed mode, and Warzone 1's Zombies Royale mode also returns.

Additionally, this update will bring jump scares, new limited-time equipment, and in-game events to both battle royale and DMZ.

Modern Warfare 2

Season 6 of multiplayer will include four new maps at launch. Two maps will be for standard 6v6 modes and two will serve as 2v2 Gunfight maps. For the mid-season update, Asilo and Embassy will have spooky map reskins.

Holiday-themed variants will arrive for the classic game modes Domination, Kill Confirmed, Grind, Drop Zone, and Infected.
