City of Heroes European beta on the horizon

It's almost time for Europeans to dust off their capes and codpieces. NCsoft today announced that beta testing for the European release of its massively multiplayer role-playing game City of Heroes is "coming very soon," with beta sign-ups likely occurring this week. The company said that sign-ups are already under way, but a visit to the game's Web site confirms that's not yet the case. The MMORPG lets players suit up as superheroes and save the citizens of Paragon City. City of Heroes was released in North America in April and the game's nefarious expansion, City of Villains, is expected to save the day in August 2005.
