Chris Pratt Is On The Set Of Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 But Filming Has Not Begun Yet
Filming has not yet begun on Guardians 3, but it will soon.
Actor Chris Pratt is beginning his work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. He recently announced that he went to the set for the first time to prepare for the long-awaited sequel.
Many people thought because Pratt was on set that it meant filming had begun on Guardians 3, but that is not the case. Writer-director James Gunn said Pratt went to the set for rehearsals and for camera tests. As for actual principal photography, this is still "a while off," Gunn said.
Chris is on set and we're rehearsing and doing camera tests and stuff - so it's his "first day" like it was my "first day" many months ago - but actual shooting is a while off. Btw, I didn't even know about this video when I first posted this. https://t.co/afqbXCyoFf

Guardians 3 is scheduled for release in May 2023. It was not one of the many MCU films to be delayed recently.
Guardians 3 and the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will film simultaneously, though the holiday special is scheduled for release in Holiday 2022.
As for what Gunn is filming right now, he confirmed cameras are rolling on the scenes for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, a new attraction coming to Disney World's Epcot.
In other news, it was recently announced that Will Poulter has joined Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to play Adam Warlock.
