The hugely popular fantasy show Game of Thrones returns to screens in April. Following the teaser that was released earlier this month, HBO have now revealed a series of striking posters, that continue the spooky theme of that promo. Check them out in the gallery below:

The sixth season of Game of Thrones will debut before the publication of the next book in George R.R. Martin's series of novels on which it is based. In an interview with IGN, Martin revealed that the new novel will feature a twist that can't be included in the show.

"I have decided to do it. It is something involves that a couple of characters, one of whom is dead on the show but not dead in the books," he said. "The show can’t do it, unfortunately, because they killed a character that I have not killed."

Game of Thrones returns to HBO on April 24.
