The Following takes place "shortly" after the events of the base game. You play as Kyle Crane (voiced by prolific voice actor Roger Craig Smith) who is working with a band of survivors to find salvation. Crane and company venture outside of the game's city of Harran to a region run by a "mysterious group whose intentions are not readily clear."

"The rumor of a way out turned out true, but does a potential cure really exist out here or is it all smoke and mirrors?" reads a line from the expansion's description.

The Following launches February 9, 2016 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. You can buy it by itself for $20 (Techland recently raised the price to reflect its scope) or through the $30 Dying Light DLC pass. In addition, it will be available as part of the Dying Light Enhanced Edition, which also arrives February 9.

The Enhanced Edition, as its name suggests, comes with better graphics and enemy AI, among other things. Everyone who already owns Dying Light is also getting these enhancements free of charge.
