Always funny to see Halo Combat Evolved on the PC charts.. The game so many PC gamers say is not up to standards with PC shooters.. and its 5+ years old.. You would also be forgiven for thinking Nintendo was the only company making DS games..

I think its funny how a lot of good games lately start with "G". It gets really confusing when everyone abbreviates their names. Especially Gears of War and God of War!

ElZilcho ---- I would have to disagree with you. The GOW series is a lot like the Tomb raider series. It employs a much more brutal main character, but the game is the same. Its a puzzle solver...... The reason you have to do so much to open a door, is because its a maze. Its not meant to be easy. Figuring out what you need to do is the best ( and most frustrating ) part of the game. I play GTA, but dont care for them much. The reason I like the GOW series is the fact it is challenging, fast pased and fun. Its not just a hack and slash, it has a lot more depth.

im not so much of a sony fan and im more of a 360 fan, but you have to admit when you see a great game, and GoW 1/2 are just great games, so they deserve to be up there

You know what i found funny. That GAMESTOP hate playstation so badly hahaha. I called one today about WINNING ELVEN PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 9 and the employee who is a herb first asks me if i have a XBOX 360 and i said no i got a playstation 3. Than he goes to me DONT BE SCARED BUT THIS NEXT GEN Version that is coming out soon might not Konami Soccer be on the PS3 only for XBOX 360. god of war is just senseless and completly over the top violence with none of the style and grace of superior hack and slashers like ninja gaiden and devil may cry, reasons it sold so well, number one, there are like a billion plastations out there something like that? number two most of the people enjoying this despicable gorefest are probably the same people who enjoyed gunning down old ladies for no reason in grand theft auto, wich is what made the playstation 2 a household name to begin with, nothing on that game that hasnt been done on other games before except, this is probably the bloodiest game we've seen since mortal kombat from back in the day. a simple game for simple gamers, on the other hand needlessly overwhelmingly violent games are what americans like (look at mortal kombat and grand theft auto for proof) i apploud the developers for figuring this one out and banking on it, and BOY ARE THEY BANKING ON IT!

@ brant_almighty Cool, half of the top ten are 360 games. PS3 dominance my ass, Motorstorm is supposedly the greatest PS3 game to date, and it got beat by wii play. (almost got beat out by diddy kong racing too lol) LMAO how ture.

The xbox and gamecube may have been a failures to some sony fanboys. But now the ps3 is the failure Lmao its funny how that works. Also last I check PS3 only sold 3 million plus (lmao) while the Wii sold 6 million plus while the x360 have sold 11million plus still going strong.

Nintendo moved on to next gen?? now, I wouldn't consider DS the next gen. I like the numbers. Sony brand is still selling well despite lack of games.

Here is a newsflash for you, the Xbox 360 has been out for a year longer than the PS3. If Sony is still churning out titles for the PS2 1.5 years after the PS3 is out I will be amazed. Why would you chart the Xbox when its clearly come and gone now? Also, take a look at the PS2 games... only 4 new, 4 more than 6 months old, several sports titles that come out yearly, there is no news there other than God of War. The PS2 will be falling into the background just as the Xbox did to the 360. You can't call it a "failure" because their sales weren't shown in the GameSpot article. With that said, the God of War sales are impressive.
