FX has released a new trailer for Season 4 of Mayans M.C. The first two episodes will air April 19, and then the season will air weekly for a total of 10 episodes.

According to FX's teaser statement accompanying the new trailer below, "a reckoning" is upon the titular motorcycle club. That much is clear--and that all hell is beginning to break loose in the fictional California border town of Santo Padre. Per the show's official synopsis: "Mayans M.C. follows the life of Ezekiel 'EZ' Reyes, a member of the Mayans M.C. charter on the Cali/Mexi border. EZ, his brother Angel and the rest of the Santo Padre M.C. face retaliation from other charters after a failed attempt to align under one King. Meanwhile, EZ and Angel have grown distant from their father Felipe (Edward James Olmos) after a heart wrenching betrayal."

Mayans M.C. spun off of FX's Sons of Anarchy. In an opinion piece GameSpot published in May 2021, writer Chris E. Hayner argued that in Season 3 of Mayans M.C., the spin-off has surpassed the flagship series by finally letting go of connections to that world.

The FX show's formidable ensemble includes J. D. Pardo, Clayton Cardenas, Sarah Bolger, Michael Irby, Carla Baratta, Richard Cabral, Raoul Max Trujillo, Antonio Jaramillo, Danny Pino, Edward James Olmos, Emilio Rivera, Sulem Calderon, Frankie Loyal, Joseph Lucero, and Vincent "Rocco" Vargas.

"I am deeply indebted to everyone at FX and 20th for allowing us to continue to tell the stories of the characters that [co-creator Kurt Sutter] and I created and whom our cast and crew took to new heights in season 3," said executive producer Elgin James in an official statement when the series was renewed for this upcoming season. "In Season 4 we look forward to diving deeper into each character's truths, exploring the danger of the combustible world they inhabit, and for each writer, cast member, and crew to stake out our place as storytellers."
