Chains of Promathia ship date set

The expansion for Square Enix's massively multiplayer online role-playing game Final Fantasy XI will head to stores on September 21. Titled Chains of Promathia, the expansion will be released simultaneously in Japan, North America, and Europe for both the PC and PlayStation 2. It will add 40 new areas both inside and outside of the current borders of Vana'diel, as well as new quests, world events, and items (including fish). All additions are designed to appeal to both high- and low-level characters. Chains of Promathia carries a retail price of $29.99.
